In 1948 Herman Schlobohm moved to California, starting National Corset Supply House. In 1966 the company also started manufacturing lingerie. In 1970 the Schlobohm family purchased the name "Shirley of Hollywood" from its retiring founder. In the 1980's, the third generation of Schlobohm's joined the company.
